On 12/10/2021, Missouri State Highway Patrol Corporal Lonnie Raymond Lejeune died from complications after contracting COVID-19 in the line of duty. He served 26 years with the patrol and was assigned to the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division at the time of his death. Lejeune was a U.S. Navy veteran and previously worked with the Raleigh Police Department; he is survived by his wife, two sons, brother, and two sisters.
