On 04/08/2026, Hamilton County Sheriff's Office Deputy Landon Faulkner was driving on Highway 111 when his patrol vehicle struck a disabled vehicle that was stopped in a travel lane. He was transported to a hospital, where he died from his injuries. The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
