On 04/26/2026, Arizona Department of Public Safety trooper Kelly Sullivan died after crashing his motorcycle near Lake Pleasant Parkway and Loop 303 in Peoria. Police said Sullivan struck a median, lost control of the motorcycle, and was thrown from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead. Authorities said Sullivan was off duty and was not traveling to or from work at the time of the crash. Police stated there was no evidence that impairment was involved. Sullivan had served with the Arizona Department of Public Safety for 25 years.
