OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On 05/14/2026, Citronelle Police Officer Dylan Chase Owen was killed in a single vehicle crash while on duty in the area of Mobile Street and Laird Drive. Emergency crews responded and found Owen trapped inside the patrol vehicle after it struck a tree. A medical helicopter was requested, but responders later determined he had died from his injuries. Owen was a graduate of West Lincoln Attendance Center in Mississippi and had worked for the Citronelle Police Department for approximately two years. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is investigating the crash.
