OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On 05/29/2026, Officer Kristen Yeager of the Central Berks Regional Police Department was responding to a call for service in Earl Township with emergency lights and sirens activated. According to Pennsylvania State Police, her patrol vehicle left the roadway, entered a ditch, struck a tree, and she was ejected from the vehicle. Yeager was transported to a hospital where she was pronounced dead. Authorities stated she had served with the department for nearly three years. The crash remains under investigation.
