On 05/10/2023, 39-year-old Sgt. Joshua Lee Clouse along with a number of other officers arrived at a domestic dispute call to the 700 block of N. Travis around 11 p.m. after a woman called to report a shooting.By the time police arrived, the woman escaped to a nearby store and police got into a shootout with the person. Cameron PD officer Joshua Lee Clouse was shot and later died. Long guns were used to shoot and kill Albert Rafael Acosta.
