Lake County deputies were called to a disturbance on Brookside Drive. They heard a noise and saw a back door that had been kicked in at a residence. Three deputies were shot. Numerous deputies now responded and shot and killed the man. One deputy died and two were sent to the hospital.
SWAT arrived and engaged in a shootout. Two people inside of the home were shot and killed. One officer was killed. Two officers were sent to the hospital, one with bullets in his extremities, groin and in critical condition and another one with a bullet in his shoulder. The identities of the 2 people killed inside of the residence involved in the shootout against police have so far not been identified.
