Police arrived at a “suspicious vehicle” call, determined it was stolen and began hunting the driver. A total of 4 state, county and local law enforcement agencies chased the car, put down spike strips and disabled the vehicle. The desperate driver allegedly carjacked another vehicle to flee. A significant number of police vehicles were in hot putsuit consisting of Centralia PD, Lewis County Sheriff’s Office, Washington State Patrol and Chehalis PD were in hot pursuit. Police report that he “exchanged gunfire with officers.” He was shot and killed.
