Police got an ALPR alert that a car was stolen and initiated a traffic stop. When police tried to detain Deshawn Whitaker, he fled on foot. Police then focused on the passenger who was Whittaker’s wife and tried to arrest her. Meanwhile, Whitaker returned and allegedly pointed a gun at police and was shot and killed.
