Per the only eyewitness’s report, an unnamed Fulton County deputy, the deputy had just gotten off work, was in his uniform when his Ring camera alert went off and showed a man near his home. The man allegedly walked into the woods when the deputy arrived. The deputy stated that he got into an “altercation” with the man and shot him dead. Police did not allege that Bobby Lee Sutton had been armed or threatening when killed. The officer’s name and other key information was withheld. No officer was charged while the family struggled to get answers what had happened.
