OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :

On 01/03/2026, a driver was killed in a crash in Beaverton after Portland police attempted to stop the vehicle for reckless driving. Police said the driver did not stop, and officers escalated a chase that continued from Portland into Beaverton. After officers reduced direct engagement, the vehicle continued driving and later crashed at Southwest Barnes Road and Southwest Valeria View Drive. The driver, the sole occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene. No other vehicles were involved.
