On 01/01/2026, Pennsylvania State Police responded after 1 p.m. to reports of a suicidal man at the 13,000 block of South Eagle Valley Road in Snyder Township. Troopers located the man, who barricaded himself inside an outbuilding near a church, prompting an hours-long standoff involving state police specialized response units.
