OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On 01/09/2026 at approximately 6:20 p.m., firefighters and park rangers responded to a vehicle fire on Natchez Trace Road near Lovell Trail at Natchez Trace State Park. The driver, identified as 26-year-old Bradley David Kondor, took a ranger’s vehicle and drove away. Park rangers located a second stolen state vehicle about a mile away near Shiloh Trail. Kondor then attempted to drive that vehicle toward law enforcement. A ranger fired upon the vehicle, striking Kondor, who died at the scene. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is conducting an independent investigation into the incident.
