The man exited the vehicle and ran on foot with a gun. Officers opened fire during an exchange of gunfire, striking him. He was transported to a hospital where he died.

He then ran into a nearby field. Officers pursued him on foot. Under unclear circumstances, he died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
