On 01/12/2026, Boynton Beach Police Department officers searched for Nesar Dawla, 39, after authorities reported he shot and killed two people inside an office building on High Ridge Road. Law enforcement conducted a multi-hour search that prompted lockdowns of nearby schools and businesses. Officers located Dawla driving in Boynton Beach and initiated a pursuit that entered the Leisureville community. The pursuit ended near the 500 block of Northwest 7th Street when Dawla’s vehicle crashed into a tree. Officers approached the vehicle and found Dawla deceased from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
