On 01/15/2026, a 63 year old man died by suicide while Jeffersonville police officers were serving a search warrant at his home in Jeffersonville, Indiana. Officers arrived to execute the warrant and made contact with a woman and a child outside the residence. While officers were present, a gunshot was heard from inside the home. Police entered and found the man deceased from a self inflicted gunshot wound. The woman and child were not injured. Indiana State Police are assisting with the investigation into the death.
