On 01/04/2026, a man died after being taken into custody by Philadelphia police officers in the Mayfair and Tacony area of the city. Police responded to reports of a person firing a gun into the ground outside a residence. When officers arrived, they said the man appeared disoriented and resisted being taken into custody.
