OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :

On 01/20/2026, Baltimore Police Department officers shot and killed a man in southeast Baltimore after a call about a person threatening another with a firearm in the 6800 block of Bank Street. Officers searched the area and located the man on a bicycle in the 6500 block of Eastern Avenue near the on-ramp to Interstate 95. An encounter followed and police discharged their weapons, fatally striking the man. Homicide detectives are investigating the police-involved shooting.
