On 01/21/2026 in Las Vegas Valley, officers from the North Las Vegas Police Department located a stolen Salvation Army transit bus reported earlier and began a pursuit after the driver did not stop and continued driving erratically at high speed. Metro Police air units monitored the stolen bus as it traveled across the valley. The bus ran a red light at the intersection of Tropicana Avenue and Grand Canyon Drive, colliding with a motorcycle. The motorcyclist, later identified by police as 28-year-old Ali Moussaoui, was pronounced dead at the scene. The stolen bus driver was apprehended by North Las Vegas and Las Vegas police officers after fleeing on foot. The Clark County Department of Justice is investigating the fatal crash and pursuit.
