On 01/25/2026, Pierce County Sheriff’s Office deputies shot and killed Alrico Coleman in Parkland, Washington, following a reported stabbing in a parking lot. Police said the man had stabbed another adult male and the victim’s dog, leaving both injured. Deputies located the man nearby and attempted to make contact. During the encounter, deputies said the man was holding knives and moved toward them. Deputies opened fire, striking and killing him at the scene.
