On 06/14/2026, Santa Ana Police Department officers responded to the 1100 block of South Townsend Street after receiving reports of a domestic violence incident. Officers learned that a 16-year-old had allegedly stabbed an adult male relative, who was transported to a hospital with serious injuries. Officers contacted the juvenile, later identified as Jaden Michaca, who remained armed with a knife. During the encounter, officers fired, striking Michaca.
