OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :

On 01/26/2026 at approximately 7:00 a.m., the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of gunfire in the 500 block of Shady Pine Way in the Pine Ridge North I community in Greenacres, Florida. Deputies arriving at the scene found one woman dead and another suffering from gunshot wounds. Both women were later identified as Brianna Rodriguez-Quintana, 25, and Milvia Quintana-Placeres, 59, and both died from their injuries. Deputies determined the suspect, identified by the sheriff’s office as 60-year-old Juan Estevez-Mesa, shot the two victims and then retreated into his residence. Deputies attempted to establish contact, and the SWAT Team was called to assist. After a tactical assessment, authorities found Juan Estevez-Mesa deceased inside the home from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The sheriff’s office confirmed that the victims and suspect knew each other and that there was no ongoing threat to the public. Investigators from the PBSO Violent Crimes Division are conducting a search warrant and ongoing investigation.
