OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :

On 02/02/2026, a deputy with the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office attempted to stop a vehicle near East 57th Street in Loveland that was missing lights and a license plate. The driver did not stop. Police escalated a high-speed pursuit along northbound Interstate 25. The pursuit continued as the vehicle exited at Mountain Vista and traveled onto local roads, lost control, struck a power pole, and crashed, ejecting two men who were inside. One man was pronounced dead at the scene and the other died later at a hospital. A third occupant, a woman, was trapped in the vehicle and sustained injuries and was transported to a hospital for treatment. The Larimer County Sheriff’s Office Crash Team and Forensics Unit responded to process the scene. Identification of the two men will be released by the Weld County Coroner’s Office.
