On 02/10/2026, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies responded to reports of an armed individual barricaded inside a residence on Blue Sky Court and began negotiations that continued overnight. Crisis negotiators and Special Enforcement Bureau personnel attempted contact while surrounding homes were evacuated and streets closed. After roughly 14 to 15 hours, deputies used a tactical vehicle to breach the rear wall of the home shortly before 6 a.m., where they located a deceased person inside alongside a firearm. Reporting indicated a gunshot may have been heard shortly before the discovery. Authorities have not confirmed identity, whether the deceased was the barricaded individual or another person, or the official cause of death. The Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau and medical examiner are investigating.
