On 02/12/2026, Nassau County deputies responded to a residence on Jessica Place after Kenneth William Presgraves called authorities regarding a dispute involving his wife and barricaded himself inside. Deputies and negotiators attempted to secure compliance while enforcing a court order that restricted him from being near the home following prior stalking and tracking device charges. During the standoff he made suicidal statements and refused to exit. The sheriff’s Special Response Team entered the residence early Thursday morning and located Presgraves dead from a self inflicted gunshot wound. The incident followed several hours of negotiation and enforcement actions tied to the protective order.
