OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY : On 02/14/2026 at approximately 1:45 a.m., Roswell Police Department officers responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence on the 3500 block of Mimosa Drive. Officers called for a man to exit the home. When he came outside holding a knife and moved toward officers, officers opened fire. He was struck by gunfire and pronounced dead at the scene. No officers were reported injured. New Mexico State Police are conducting the investigation.
