OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :

On 02/14/2026, Pennsylvania State Police attempted to stop a white Kia Soul for traffic violations on Route 422 shortly after midnight. The driver continued driving and police chased the vehicle into Upper Merion Township. While being chased at high speed, the driver lost control and crashed into a concrete barrier near the Route 202 interchange. Police pronounced Zachery Carbo, the 18-year-old driver, dead at the scene. Three passengers, ages 19, 19, and 20, were transported to a hospital with injuries. Police reported the Kia had been reported stolen earlier that day.
