OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY : On 02/17/2026, Oklahoma City Police Department officers responded to reports of a shooting at a residence in southeast Oklahoma City. Officers encountered an individual outside the home and shot that person during the response. The individual then barricaded themself inside the residence. After officers secured the location and entered the home, they found a second person deceased inside. Authorities have not released the identity, age, or cause of death of the deceased person found in the home. The circumstances surrounding the death remain under investigation by Oklahoma City police.
