On 02/25/2026, Claremont police found a man unresponsive in the lobby of the police department after reports that he had entered the building and gone into a restroom. Officers located him and requested medical assistance. Responders attempted life-saving measures, but he was pronounced dead. Authorities stated the death appears to be related to a possible drug overdose. Police said there was no indication of foul play. The New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office is reviewing the circumstances.
