OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :

On 03/03/2026 at approximately 1:45 a.m., a Soddy-Daisy police officer conducted a traffic stop in the 8600 block of Dayton Pike in front of a Circle K gas station in Soddy-Daisy, Tennessee. According to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, the situation escalated during the stop and the officer fired at the driver, striking him. The man was identified as 45-year-old Brandon Hall. He was transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead. A female passenger who was in the vehicle during the stop was not injured. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is conducting an independent investigation into the officer-involved shooting and will submit its findings to the district attorney for review.
