On 03/03/2026 at approximately 2:03 p.m., two Nampa Police Department officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of North 21st Street and Industrial Road in Nampa, Idaho. According to police, the stop involved a person with a felony warrant. During the encounter a handgun appeared and officers opened fire. One man in the vehicle was struck multiple times and died at the scene. A second man was shot in the hands and survived with non-life-threatening injuries. Police stated the gun had been handed to the passenger before the shooting. No officers were injured. Authorities have not publicly released the names or ages of the two men involved.
