On 03/03/2026, deputies with the Yellowstone County Sheriff’s Office attempted to stop a vehicle on Interstate 90 south of Billings. The driver continued driving and deputies chased the vehicle at high speed. The pursuit ended near mile marker 447 when the vehicle left the roadway and crashed. The driver died from injuries sustained in the crash. Authorities have not released his name.
