On 03/10/2026, Baltimore police responded around 11:50 a.m. to the 6200 block of Park Heights Avenue for a burglary call. Authorities said officers were met with gunfire from a man inside the residence shortly after arriving. During the confrontation, an officer was shot in the leg and hospitalized in stable condition. Police said a woman jumped from a window to escape and another woman was briefly held at gunpoint inside. SWAT officers responded, and a sniper shot and killed the man after he appeared at a window multiple times. The Maryland Attorney General’s Independent Investigations Division is investigating.
