OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :

On 03/13/2026, Phoenix police responded just before 6:30 p.m. to a reported domestic violence call at the Golden Key Apartments on West Osborn Road. Police said the man began running through the complex as officers arrived. Police chased him as additional officers responded. Authorities said the man was carrying a rifle and refused repeated commands to drop it. Officers opened fire and struck him. He was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries and later died. The Arizona Department of Public Safety Major Incident Division is investigating the shooting.
