OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :

On 03/22/2026, Bexar County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded around 4:00 a.m. to reports of two men driving through a far West Side neighborhood checking door handles and entering vehicles. Deputies located a vehicle matching the description near Blacktail Crest and Bonita Loop. The driver continued driving at a high rate of speed as deputies attempted to follow. A deputy activated emergency lights but lost sight of the vehicle shortly after. Another deputy later observed the same vehicle speeding through the area. The vehicle crashed a short time later. Both occupants were found with critical injuries and died. Items inside the vehicle, including tools, are being examined in connection with multiple reported vehicle break-ins.
