On 03/09/2026, Pennsylvania State Police responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence on Valley Street in New Philadelphia. Police reported that Kevin Carlos Cole, 44, fired from inside the home toward responding troopers. Troopers returned fire from outside after removing a woman from the residence. Following a standoff, officers entered the home and found him deceased. Police reported the fatal wound was self-inflicted.
