On 03/22/2026, Pima County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a man behaving erratically along South Nogales Highway. Deputies made contact with the man and attempted to detain him. During the encounter, deputies used a Taser while trying to take him into custody. The man became unresponsive after the use of force. Deputies requested medical assistance and he was transported to a hospital, where he died. Authorities have not released the man’s name or the official cause of death.
