On 03/25/2026, Lower Saucon Township police responded to a report that a man had fired a gun at a home on Applebutter Road. Police and Pennsylvania State Police set up a perimeter. During the standoff, officers encountered the man outside the residence and opened fire, shooting him. He was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
