On 03/28/2026, Anchorage police responded to multiple 911 calls reporting gunshots at a residence on Shore Circle around 3:27 a.m. Police arrived and encountered a man inside the home. Officers deployed a drone during the standoff. Police stated the man fired a rifle, including shooting at the drone. During the incident, the man set the home on fire. Officers engaged the man during the confrontation and opened fire, killing him. The fire grew into a large structure fire while police and fire crews responded. Police confirmed prior calls had been made to the same address before this incident.
