On 04/01/2026, Houston Police Department officers responded to a report of a man making threatening motions with a large knife at an apartment complex in the 6300 block of West Bellfort Avenue. Officers located the man inside an apartment unit. As officers approached, the man exited and moved toward officers while holding a knife. Officers opened fire, striking him. He died at the location.
