On 04/01/2026, Tulsa Police responded to a series of violent incidents in the Apache Manor area, including a double homicide, multiple burglaries, and a stabbing. Police located Marsean Jacue Taylor near a convenience store holding two knives. Police gave commands for him to drop the weapons while following him through the area. Officers used less-lethal measures including pepper balls, a bean bag launcher, pepper spray, and a Taser. Police stated he continued moving toward nearby traffic and homes and threw a knife that struck an officer. An officer then opened fire, striking Taylor. He was transported to a hospital, where he died. Investigators are working to determine whether he was connected to the earlier homicides and stabbing.
