On 04/05/2026, Fort Worth Police Department officers observed a vehicle traveling without headlights on Interstate 35 near Rosedale Street. The vehicle struck another vehicle and did not stop. Officers attempted a traffic stop. The driver did not stop. Police chased the vehicle southbound on Interstate 35. During the pursuit, the vehicle struck a second vehicle and continued driving. The driver exited the highway near Tarver Road, where officers briefly lost sight of the vehicle. Officers later located the vehicle crashed off the roadway in the 1500 block of Tarver Road. The driver was found dead inside the vehicle. A passenger exited with injuries and was transported to a hospital.
