Police responded to a 911 call reporting that a family was being held hostage at a home in West Philadelphia. Officers arrived and encountered Anthony McKinley standing on a porch holding a handgun. Police said he pointed the gun and fired one shot toward officers. An officer opened fire and shot him. He was taken to a hospital where he died shortly after. Body camera footage was recorded and the shooting is under investigation.
