Event : Motorcycle driver killed by police chase crash

OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :

On 03/30/2026, a North Carolina State Highway Patrol trooper attempted to stop a motorcycle for speeding on U.S. 29 near Reidsville. The driver did not stop and the trooper initiated a chase. Police chased the motorcycle off U.S. 29 onto a side road at a high rate of speed. The motorcycle traveled out of sight and crashed on Nealtown Road after leaving the roadway and striking a tree. Emergency personnel responded and pronounced the driver dead.
