On 04/11/2026, Clermont County Sheriff's Office deputies and Pierce Township police responded to a 911 call reporting a man with a gun at the Eastgate Mobile Home Park on State Route 125. A caller reported that the man was intoxicated, and a woman could be heard stating he was suicidal. Officers arrived and encountered him holding a firearm. They gave commands for him to drop the weapon. He did not comply. Officers opened fire, striking him. He was pronounced dead shortly after. The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation is handling the investigation.
