On 04/12/2026, Lake County deputies responded to a reported stabbing at 2415 Montclair Road where a person was found with multiple stab wounds. Witnesses directed officers to the individual who had left the area on foot. Deputies located Timotheus Reed nearby. During the encounter, officers opened fire and shot him. He was transported to a hospital where he died. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is investigating the shooting.
