On 04/02/2026, Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a domestic violence incident at a mobile home on Cooper Street. A man entered the home and held his ex-partner against her will. She was able to leave and contact law enforcement. Deputies surrounded the residence and attempted to make contact. The man remained inside and refused to come out. A gunshot was heard from inside the home. Deputies later entered and found him dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
