OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :

On 04/19/2026, deputies with the Grant County Sheriff's Office responded to a felony hit-and-run crash near State Route 17 and Stratford Road in Moses Lake. The driver involved in the crash left the area. Deputies later located the vehicle and initiated a pursuit. Police chased the vehicle eastbound on Road 3 NE. During the pursuit, the vehicle crossed the center line and collided head-on with a pickup truck near Road U NE. The driver and a passenger in the pursued vehicle were killed. The driver of the pickup truck was injured and transported to a hospital. The Washington State Patrol is investigating the incident.
