On 04/12/2026, officers with the Glynn County Police Department responded to a report of a suicidal individual driving a vehicle in the Brunswick area. Officers located the vehicle and attempted to stop it. The driver did not stop, and police chased the vehicle. During the pursuit, the driver stopped and fatally shot himself. He was pronounced dead. Authorities stated the initial call involved concerns about the driver’s mental state prior to the pursuit.
