OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On 04/20/2026, Goshen Police Department officers responded to reports of gunfire near Clinton Street and 3rd Street. Officers located Lisa Adkins with multiple gunshot wounds. She died from her injuries.
Police said the person responsible left the area before officers arrived. Witnesses provided information about a vehicle, which was later located in Fulton County. A deputy attempted a traffic stop. The driver did not stop. Police escalated a chase through Fulton, Cass, and Pulaski counties.
During the pursuit, Indiana State Police used a maneuver to stop the vehicle. As officers approached, they heard a gunshot from inside the vehicle. The driver, identified as Aaron Holliday, died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. No officers fired their weapons.
Police reported the two had a prior relationship. Family and community members described Adkins as a well-known local resident working to rebuild her life and reconnect with family.
